About Katari Beauty

Katari Beauty makes single-ingredient and botanical oils, clays and powders. Each oil is described by texture and how quickly it absorbs, which makes it easier to pick the right one for your skin.

Face oils

  • Barie, Prickly Pear Cactus Seed Oil: a light-to-medium oil that absorbs in one to three minutes. Katari recommends it for mature or depleted-looking skin.
  • Hoba, Pure Jojoba Oil: technically a liquid wax. Lightweight and quick to absorb, with a very mild scent, and usable as both a cleansing oil and a moisturizer.
  • Granate, Pomegranate Seed Oil: a medium-weight oil with a strong scent and a rich finish.
  • Black Seed Oil: a medium-weight oil for stressed or reactive-looking skin.

Shop all four in face oils, and read our guide to face oil for dry skin.

Clay and exfoliation

  • Argil, Purifying Green Clay Masque: a pure green clay masque sourced from Tunisia, for congested-feeling skin.
  • Poudre de Barie, Exfoliating Powder: finely milled prickly pear seeds left over from pressing Barie oil, used as a gentle exfoliant.

Hair and brows

  • Black Castor Oil for Hair & Brows: a very rich, slow-absorbing oil for lashes, brows and dry areas. See our guide to castor oil for hair.
  • Henna Oil for Dry Hair & Scalp: a conditioning oil for the scalp and lengths that, according to Katari, does not stain. More in scalp care.

Questions

Which Katari face oil should I choose?

Hoba jojoba oil is the lightest and suits most skin types. Barie prickly pear oil is light-to-medium and aimed at mature skin. Granate pomegranate and black seed oils are medium-weight with a richer finish.

How do I use a face oil?

Press two or three drops into slightly damp skin after serums, or mix a drop into your moisturizer. Oils seal in what is underneath, so they go near the end of your routine.

Is jojoba oil really an oil?

Jojoba is technically a liquid wax ester, which is why it feels lighter than many plant oils. Katari describes Hoba as absorbing in one to two minutes.

Will Katari Henna Oil stain my hair?

Katari states the Henna Oil does not stain hair or skin. As with any new product, try it on a small area first.
